MEET THE CO-FOUNDER
Linzi Cruz, RDN, CSOWM, LDN, CDCES
Nothing brings me more joy than serving my community in Austin as a registered dietitian sharing science-based guidance for creating a balanced lifestyle using a tailored approach to food and nutrition.
I have dedicated many years to understanding the patterns of advanced metabolic testing so that I can help my clients achieve the weight loss goals others have failed to identify. Mainstream medicine has great value, but often times the devil is in the details of each individual's health history, metabolic status, and microbiome, all of which are not always reviewed.
I am a Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management as well as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist based in Austin, TX. As a Registered Dietitian by trade, I am someone who looks at the whole picture and uses real-life solutions, equipping my clients with the right tools to achieve the results they have been working for and adopt healthy behaviors that last a lifetime.
Here's to living a life full of health!
Linzi's experience with patient care dates back to 2012 where she began her medical career working as a research coordinator for a nutrition & cancer study, as well as various other studies for Novartis, Pfizer, Abbott Labratories and Sanofi.
She graduated with a degree in marketing from the University of Florida in 2011 before going back to school to become a registered dietitian. Linzi was accepted to the highly competitive Baptist Medical Center Dietetic Internship in San Antonio, TX in 2015 and immediately began her dietetic career with the nationally recognized bariatric group, BMI of Texas.
Linzi served as the lead dietitian helping patients throughout all aspects of the bariatric process, weight loss & nutrition counseling. In her personal career, she served as a preceptor for University of Texas (San Antonio) Dietetic Interns and remains an active member of the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Linzi decided to open her own practice after moving to Austin, TX with her husband Jay and pursue her dream to counsel patients all over the country.
Linzi now serves the community of Austin as a board certified specialist in both obesity weight management and diabetes education, providing a very personalized health approach for each and every client because she knows that no two people are the same and deserve a completely individualized plan to reach their unique health goals.
She is also a registered yoga therapist with over 200 hours of yoga teacher training approved through the yoga alliance and practices her journey daily!
Her passion for building excellent patient/provider relationships and teaching nutrition in a realistic, step-by-step manner is unique, and clients commonly leave stating her counseling skills are the best they have ever encountered.
